Spider problem..?

Ok, kill, capture, maim, etc for the rest of this Summer, but when it gets to Autumn I have a surefire way of preventing them even coming into your home. Collect conkers, put one in the corner of every room, just on the floor, and this actually deters spiders completely. I was so cynical when someone told me about that, but as I'm petrified of spiders I gave it a try. And I haven't had one spider in my house since, whereas before we were invaded on a regular basis. I promise this is not tongue-in-cheek - I was amazed but it really does do the trick.
